Part of the UK Urban League

Organiser Richard Lewis (WRE)
Planner Clive Richardson (WRE)
Controller Henry Morgan (POTOC)

Start Times 12.00 – 15.00

Shrewsbury is the County Town of Shropshire. It is a market town and was built on a hill in a large loop of the River Severn.

It has a largely unspoilt medieval street plan and over 660 listed buildings including a number of timber framed buildings dating from the 15th and 16th centuries.

As it has retained many of the streets and alleyways from medieval times these provide interesting navigational challenges. The competition area also contains parkland areas, conventional roads and housing.

For Enquiries and Download we will be using part of the Shropshire Wildlife Trust building. This is situated on Abbey Foregate, adjacent to the Abbey Foregate car park.

Competitors would then walk to the start and back from the finish.

Juniors will have to be accompanied to the start and back from the finish but will not have to be accompanied on the courses.
