Foxholes Castle Camping is a touring campsite for tents, caravans and camper vans. It is situated on the Shropshire/Wales Border, an area known as the Welsh Marches, ten minutes walk on the Shropshire Way from the beautiful market town of Bishops Castle. Because it is a very popular site the owners Chris and Wendy Jones would like to manage the bookings themselves directly as they find that they have more control and are able to eliminate the risk of overcrowding. They have a large amount of space available for camping and are very careful in limiting their capacity to retain the tranquility of the campsite and not exhaust the resources. They look forward to seeing you all in May.
Foxholes is in prime position for camping and visiting Welshpool with Powys Castle and its beautiful gardens and collection of treasures and the Llanfair Ceireinion light railway. It is also an ideal campsite to explore the countryside, on foot, bike on road, or off road with the Long Mynd, the home of the Midland Gliding Club, Wild Edric’s Way and Offa’s Dyke all close by.
Clun is a 10-minute drive from the campsite, or a beautiful walk through farm and woodland. Clun and its surrounding villages are famous in the work of A E Houseman. In the motte of the ruins of Clun Castle the annual Green Man Festival is held on the second bank holiday in May (SINS Weekend!), as well as the Clun Valley Beer Festival in October.
